Its early spring in Hurricane, WV. I could see heat waves coming off the track, it may have been 70 degrees; a pleasant surprise to the rain and cold we had lately. I sat for about 20 minutes waiting on this train, expecting the common GE or SD70. To my surprise a SD50-3 was on the point. We don't see many of these so I was quite pleased with the picture I got,

An ex Southern SD40-2 unit has had it's original high nose chopped for a short hood cab, called an Admiral Cab, due to the distinct front windows tilting downwards.
