Under the quiet night skies, a loaded grain train waiting to be delivered to NS sits at the South Milford Grain Company elevator, with GP7 1601, SD40M-2 3125, and GP30 2185 for power. A big chase crowd would be awaiting the movement of this train, but for now, all is quiet as the crickets sing and the stars shine down on Northern Indiana.

CofG 223 sits in the Georgia State Railroad Museum after just completing a cosmetic restoration. The CofG has always been a favorite railroad of mine and I always love seeing their steam.

At the entrance to St. Louis Union Station sits Tower A, an abandoned interlocking tower that used to govern all 44 tracks and 300+ daily trains. Now derelict, the roof has fallen in and the floors are destroyed. You can look down from above the structure and see straight down to the ground floor. In the background, two of the Terminal Railroad Association's GP38-3's are loading passengers for the 4:30 PM Polar Express train, running from STLUS to north St. Louis along the riverfront.

Norfolk and Western J Class 611 is photographed near Goshen, VA pulling the Shenandoah Valley Limited between Goshen and Staunton, VA. The Virginia Museum of Transportation, in conjunction with the Virginia Scenic Railway and the Buckingham Branch Railroad hosted a series of Autumn excursions with the N&W 611.
