Short Lived High Hoods - Nebraska Central acquired four high hood GP38-2's from Wheeling and Lake Erie in 2022. They all received a nose job, but they worked as high hoods for few weeks as seen with two of them working the yard in Norfolk on the night switch job. The first of the four to receive a chop nose is in the background on the right.

I grew up in Central Nebraska and have been a railfan since I was about three years old. I got into photography in 2013 and haven't slowed down since. I also worked at Nebraska Central Railroad as a conductor/engineer between 2016--2022. Recently I had a book published: Nebraska Central Railroad Pride of the Prairies, and I have been published in several railroad publications. I currently live in Columbus, NE with my wife Shannon, our beagle Clyde, and we're also expecting our first child.
