IDLE AT CUMBERLAND - Western Maryland Railway 7471 sits idling and awaits for it's crew to board at Cumberland and take it and its train to Connellsville. Actually it was 2012 and the engine had recently been shipped "home" after repainted into its former WM glory for use on the George's Creek Railroad. On this night a few friends and I with permission from the railroad did a mini night shoot at the Cumberland station

Growing up along the B&O Old Main Line in Mt. Airy, MD. My Dad and I would watch the cold storage get switched out on Saturday mornings but it wasn't until after I moved to Martinsburg, WV and took my Son to the station to watch trains that I began filming and photographing CSX and Winchester & Western in 2008. Soon after that I caught the nocturnal bug and began pushing my equipment to its limits doing night photography via either long exposure, off camera flash or both. In 2018 I purchased a drone and have taken photography to new heights!
