A fairly clean UP SD70M is on the point of KCS train Z-AILA. The train has just been handed over to the KCS from Norfolk Southern. Once the crew finishes their pre-trip duties and get PTC up and going, they will blast off into the night for the run to Shreveport, LA where it will be handed off to the UP for the rest of the trip to Los Angeles.

There is nothing more attractive than a streamlined passenger train next to a beautiful train station. KCS brought out their OCS equipment to bring its Christmas Train for its tour of the south. With the Christmas cars positioned on the terminal track at Union Station, KCS parked the OCS equipment on one of their yard tracks for all to see.

A pair of KCS de Mexico GE AC4400's idle away on the point of an Atlanta bound stack train as a southbound NS freight passes on the NO&NE main one track over. The KCS crew brought the train from Shreveport and tied the train down. It will be well after dark before an NS AGS South crew boards to take the train eastward.
