L377-28 with an ex-PC GP38-2 glides past the farmland just outside Cromwell as it heads back to Garrett after working various industries along the line.

I010-21 charges through Auburn Junction with a rebuilt SD70MAC in the lead.

M368-10 heads east after waiting on local L377-10 to cross over at West Nappanee. Moving the train is a pair of SD70MAC rebuilds, with the second unit shoving on the rear; leaving the more-recently rebuilt MAC to lead solo up front. It looks good in the morning light as it rolls by the former B&O depot.

CSX W028 heads westbound for Barr Yard with an ex-SCL SD40-2 in charge of a rail train, eventually bound for Grand Rapids. This was taken just west of Teegarden at milepost BI 194.97.

B157-15 with CSX's Spirit of our Armed Forces in the lead blasts by KN Tower in Walkerton, crossing the Elkhart & Western's lightly used former NKP I-MC line.

CSX SD70MAC's 4555 and 4735 lead C631-26 through Bluegrass Cut on a cold and gusty morning.

A 5100 series unit leads I135-25 at Ripley, only 94 axles according to the nearby defect detector. The saga of the AC4400CW will be coming to a close at Wabtec will be rebuilding the remaining roster of these locomotives.

CSX M368-08 snakes through Bluegrass Cut with the C&O heritage unit on point, the clouds suppressed the sun enough which made for a nice shot at this scenic location.

M565-06 slows down to stop at the Garrett yard office under a sea of rainy clouds. However, a break in the clouds let the sun shine bright on this fresh rebuild.

A road slug and GP40-2 set head east through Auburn Junction on L378-10 as the sun sets to the west.

A YN2 Dash 8 leads I137 just outside of Garrett. Always neat to see tried and true power leading an intermodal, especially with one of the oldest Dash 8's on CSX's active roster.

KCSM 4523 leads E808, running from Cicero, IL off of the BNSF to Newell, PA. Haven't had a gray ghost leader in the area for a bit; but thanks to a last second heads up, I got to see this one blasting through.

CSX I192-04 with KCS 3911 leads past West Garrett headed for the Northwest Ohio Intermodal Terminal in North Baltimore. It's uncommon enough to see KCS leaders on this train, but even more rare to see a KCS SD70MAC leading.

CSX W003-28 blasts across the Northern Indiana countryside through the rain, sporadically testing defect detectors.
