BLE 900 leads U717 past Alborn with a lashup of all three paint schemes found on ore trains on the iron range.

All's quiet at CN's former DMIR proctor yard, however in a few minutes DMIR 215 and 211 would go to work switching the carload yard.

IC 6256 leads two other SD40-3s on an ore train headed for proctor, and then on to Duluth for unloading at the docks.

With two Tunnelmotors splitting an SD40-2. Lashups like this will get very rare as time goes on due to CN getting rebuilt GE AC power.

U716 with IC 6251 heads through a curve into toward a westbound direction on a nice evening.

Having just left Proctor Yard minutes earlier. This was my first official taconite train on the Missabe Sub. Behind me is the Munger Flyover where the Rainy Sub passes over the Missabe Sub.

C40-8 2007 leads a NB Loaded Limestone train the South end of Coons siding. It is passing through at track speed and is meeting a U717 taconite train that I have been following for many miles. 3 C40-8s and a SD40-2W is the road power for this train

A loaded SB Taconite train comes through the S Curve at Culver Cut, with the power set I believe I saw the most on my March trip to Minnesota. This train is working upgrade and giving off some great sound.

Heading out to Fairlane, this was my last train on the Iron Range. Minutes after shooting this train. I drove south to St Pauls Suburbs to spend the night before driving home the next morning.

On my last day on the Iron Range, Woke up early in the morning and noted a Southbound train lined out of Fairlane, and I was on my way out of Duluth. So I just set my GPS to Fairlane to see how far I could make it before the Ore train and I would meet. Met up about 2 blocks south of Kelsey and was met with the CN 408 again leading the 3 paint scheme trio. It was a very cold morning out, so there was plenty of Steam coming off of the freshly processed pellets.

As I was leaving Duluth heading toward the Iron Range for another day of train watching and scenery exploring, I noted a NB train coming off the Scale Track at Proctor. So I went a little bit out of my way to see what he had and if it was worth chasing. Stopped at Saginaw Depot which is just north of the siding at Coons. A Tunnel Motor leads and IC-BLE Set.
