An uncommon site on the Road to Paradise; Diesel-Powered passenger excursions. #8618 gets the opportunity to haul passengers, or in this case civil war reenactors, along various parts of the line for the Civil War Days event at Strasburg. She is seen picking up the actors at Groundhog Cut.

In October of 2020, Strasburg held a 60th anniversary of tourist operation with a photo charter. SRC 90 was put into her 1960s era paint scheme and SRC 89 hauled a freight consist. Also at this time my T7 was stolen so I borrowed a friends point and shoot which i wasn't used to so my photos from the event weren't the greatest

Strasburg 89 arrives into East Strasburg Station with a night train, due to this being fall and after 6pm

N&W 611 pulls tourist, railfans, locals, and travelers across Strasburg's 4 miles of trackage. After gaining permission from land owners, my friends and I hiked to the only bridge on the line. As 611 went by I panned and was able to get the engine and tender all in frame.

N&W 475 sits at the East Strasburg Station. In a matter of minutes, the skies go from a nice blue to a strong gray. Winds went from barely blowing to about to throw me miles away.

Strasburg 2-6-0 89 has just pulled into East Strasburg station and waits to run around her train for the next departure on a snowy March afternoon. Windchills had temps into the teens on this day but steam in the snow is such a treat to photograph!
