Amtrak 517 leads Amtrak 51, the Chicago-bound Cardinal through the Indiana countryside on the former Monon, north of Reynolds, IN. 517 is leading the Beech Grove equipment move that wat attatched to the train at Indianapolis, and has a few cars returning to Chicago for service after needd work.

SRS 131 heads Westbound through Little Falls New York.

New York Central B-11k 0-6-0 number 6721 Sits on static display next to Utica Union station covered in snow. New York Central 6721 was built in December of 1913 as NYCHR 621, it was renumbered to New York Central 6721 in 1936. On July 21st 2015 a runaway hopper car would hit the front of the 6721 knocking it backwards and hitting the portion of the building which can be seen in the background of this photo.

2024 was a great year for railfanning and B779 would be the train to bring in 2024 with Union Pacific 6717 an ex CNW AC44CW leading the train as it heads under a bridge on it's eastbound trip to New Jersey.

CSX B661-28 winds through Bluegrass on its way to Tampa with the GTW heritage unit on point.

CSX train X252-13 with CSXT #8882 leading solo struggles past the depot in Nappanee with a water governor issue whilst pulling 79 load autoracks. The train would only make it west of Wellsboro until it needed a new leader.

At Pine Junction, CSX train M565 had three CM44AH rebuilds trailing all brand new and ready to be put into revenue service. 7569, 7592, and 7578

NS 9884, and CP 8126 lead a rerouted CSX empty ethanol train B742, back to Chicago, IL

6 engines straight out of the 20th century head this M415 with a duo of YN2-painted locomotives leading the set. The 3 EMD's trailing 4th through 6th are deactivated and are being transferred to Winston, FL for long-term storage.

L133 runs south through Franconia, VA as it completes its once-weekly trip to Northern Virginia on the RF&P Subdivision. There are typically very few cars for industries this far north but the little local never fails to make the weekly Wednesday appearance up here!

Amtrak 371 (P371-01) flies under the Pere Marquette coaling tower in New Buffalo with one of Amtrak's Dash 8's for power. This trip was rough for the crew, as the engine was being put to the test and was worn out as a backup to the Siemens Chargers that usually run this territory.

Loaded Unit Coal C748 curves towards the Old Main Line Subdivision which will take the train the rest of the way to Baltimore, MD.

CSX SD70AC #4545 leads Baltimore-bound C748 past Point of Rocks, MD with a perfect Narrow Font K5LA.

CSX’s newest (and last) heritage unit, the Pan Am Railways #1981 unit, sits idly as M410 awaits a signal indication at Dahlgren Junction.

Long Hood Forward CSX ET44AH #3423 leads a 4-car L128 east onto Track 1 through Point of Rocks, MD

A comically small L128 rounds the corner in Point of Rocks with CSX’s most powerful locomotive model pulling just one empty rock hopper back to Brunswick Yard.

Local Shuttle L198 emerges from the 122-year old tunnel (originally built in the 1860’s but rebuilt in 1902) in Point of Rocks, MD as it rolls east towards Baltimore.

G702 with a YN2 AC44 leading comes up on South Deshler to head up north to Lake State in Wixom.
