BLE 906 leads an empty ore train through Munger, MN.

BLE 900 leads U717 past Alborn with a lashup of all three paint schemes found on ore trains on the iron range.

I had opportunity to visit the NRE plant in 2019. Here is Iowa Chicago & Eastern 6100 with RLCX 8513 (LMX) and also includes Metra E-9 651 along with two switchers at the NRE Plant in Silvis.

A nice treat on 10/15/22 was an SD40-3 (online and helping too) trailing on M202 through Folkston, Georgia. While more common in some areas, seeing one active on a road freight is something for sure.

Rochester & Southern train RS-1 heads through Rock Glen, NY as it approached the NS interchange at Silver Springs.

All's quiet at CN's former DMIR proctor yard, however in a few minutes DMIR 215 and 211 would go to work switching the carload yard.

IC 6256 leads two other SD40-3s on an ore train headed for proctor, and then on to Duluth for unloading at the docks.

With two Tunnelmotors splitting an SD40-2. Lashups like this will get very rare as time goes on due to CN getting rebuilt GE AC power.

One of the most scenic and visited places in the Duluth Area is Spirit Mountain on Proctor. Although only a handful of trains use this hill. The Hill Ore Job heads down to the docks with the usual (to me on the first trip) power set of EMDs

A loaded SB Taconite train comes through the S Curve at Culver Cut, with the power set I believe I saw the most on my March trip to Minnesota. This train is working upgrade and giving off some great sound.

Heading out to Fairlane, this was my last train on the Iron Range. Minutes after shooting this train. I drove south to St Pauls Suburbs to spend the night before driving home the next morning.

Not yet released SD40-3 6423 and 6424 at Juniata with other equipment.

IC 6250 leads CN G885 northbound through Centralia IL

On my last day on the Iron Range, Woke up early in the morning and noted a Southbound train lined out of Fairlane, and I was on my way out of Duluth. So I just set my GPS to Fairlane to see how far I could make it before the Ore train and I would meet. Met up about 2 blocks south of Kelsey and was met with the CN 408 again leading the 3 paint scheme trio. It was a very cold morning out, so there was plenty of Steam coming off of the freshly processed pellets.

As I was leaving Duluth heading toward the Iron Range for another day of train watching and scenery exploring, I noted a NB train coming off the Scale Track at Proctor. So I went a little bit out of my way to see what he had and if it was worth chasing. Stopped at Saginaw Depot which is just north of the siding at Coons. A Tunnel Motor leads and IC-BLE Set. With a CN former DM&IR/SP TunnelMotor leading the way. This hill job was actually easy to catch. And I thought it wouldn't be. Weather was pretty good the whole time I was in the area.

A trio of KCS SD40's leads train LGP101 south through Saucier, MS as they head home to Gulfport after a hard days work.

This IC unit was seen at the car shops on a hot summer day in June wearing Operation Lifesaver paint. Always enjoyed seeing this unit on the CN
