Western Maryland Scenic Railroad GP30 #501 is in the lead of the 2023 Polar Express Excursion out of Cumberland, MD. It waits at the old WM Cumberland Station building for the 3:30pm excursion - one of a few excursions available on this day.

WMSR 450 sits on the rear of one of WMSR's excursions to help pull the train down from Frostburg. 450 is an engine not many are fans of but it defiantly stands out from the rest.

On one of it's first trips after being leased and painted for the WMSR, 558 is sitting, waiting for its afternoon train to finish unloading at Cumberland station

on the second day pulling excursions on the railroad. 558 drifts downhill at Helmsetters. This was a day both 1309 and 558 were to be on the train, but the crews decided to use the 558 alone.

WMSR 1309 is a former C&O 2-6-6-2 Mallet Steam Locomotive that was extensively rebuilt in a multi-year restoration completed in 2021.
