By sheer luck, a vintage car was posed next to the tracks in Rosebush, Michigan as Pere Marquette #1225 made its way north with a Cadillac Limited excursion on the Great Lakes Central's ex. Ann Arbor mainline. This was probably around 2014 or 2015 if I had to guess?

The 1225 hustles a Lerro charter across Mid Michigan on a bitter cold January morning in 2019. As I watched this impressive machine thunder across frost covered farm fields I couldn't help but think that this was once a common, everyday occurrence.
