Here you see the last remaining Big Four G style Tri Light signal left standing on a modern day class 1 railroad. This line was formerly the Big Four Route later New York Central Ohio Division Mainline between Cleveland & Cincinnati.

It's dawn on BNSF's former Santa Fe Transcon Mainline, as the classic Santa Fe Searchlight signals light the way for an eastbound at Ancona, Illinois back in the Summer of 2008.

With much of Virginia still heavily impacted from the New Years snow storm, it wasn't just VDOT and Dominion Energy that were recovering. CSX Transportation was hit hard as well, with trees downed all over the state, and dealing with power outages to the railroad. Seen here less than a week after the storm, an early morning overhead view of Acca Yard in Richmond shows quite the backlog of traffic.
