Amtrak's Pennsylvanian Crosses Loyalhanna Creek in Latrobe, PA with P42DC 130 in Phase II Livery

As the Pennsylvanian train makes its way to Pittsburgh, it crosses the Loyalhanna Creek in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, with the iconic Amtrak P42DC 130 leading the way. This locomotive has been given a celebratory paint scheme to commemorate Amtrak's 40th Anniversary, featuring the Phase II livery that adorned Amtrak trains in the mid 1970s. The design includes two wide red and blue stripes separated by a narrow white stripe. This photograph from a drone provides an aerial view of the landscape as storm clouds approach. The train crosses a stone arch bridge which was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad and is currently operated by Norfolk Southern. The viaduct features two arches and is an impressive sight, especially with the interlocking of CP-TROBE situated atop it.
