In 2021 a bunch of rebuilt SD70ACUs on NS were sold to Progress Rail, so a bunch of stored engines were stenciled with PRLX logos and on this day, a newly rebui.t AC44C6M lugged a whole bunch of ACUs. I believe there were 16 ACUs that the GE pulled up the hill.

After climbing up from Altoona and actually further than that, the empty coal train has finished ascending the Allegheny Mountains as it is about to come out of Allegheny Tunnel with AC44C6M 4446 leading the way

in 2017, signal changing were reaching the Altoona area and onward. By July, signal workers and other maintainers were working on installing new wiring and equipment at AR interlocking at the top of the mountain. A new full signalbridge would be installed, covering all 4 tracks. Thankfully instead of a cantilever.

21J runs Track 1 between MG and AR and is on the steepest part of the climb on the East Slope

AR Interlocking which is at the summit of the Alleghenies on Track 1 of NS's Pittsburgh Line featured an original set of PRR signals on a big signalbridge. These stood for about 100 years and have been replaced by new safetran garbage. Can't get any better than these old classics. Sorry to see them gone.

A helper set has cut off of a westbound freight just east of AR Tower in Gallitzin. The helper will head into the clear to wait for other trains to clear out of the way
