Nickel Plate Road 765, a 2-8-4, S-2 "Berkshire" steam locomotive built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944, is seen here passing the Indiana/Michigan state border. It is seen passing the Indiana/Michigan state border in Ray, MI. The 765 is pulling the Indiana Rail Experience’s "Fall Colors Train", hosted by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society and the Indiana Northeastern Railroad. As said, directly from the IRE’s website, "Named Indiana’s 'Best New Experience' by the Indiana Tourism Association, the Indiana Rail Experience offers a variety of trips and events including hour-long rides, themed event trains, and all-day excursions aboard our historic passenger trains."
